Function

Diphenhydramine hydrochloride blocks the effect of histamine at Histamine H1 Receptor (H1 receptor) sites, which results in an increase in vascular smooth muscle contraction. Diphenhydramine hydrochloride has been shown to have inhibitive tumor promotion properties.
