Function
Magnesium stearate is often used as an anti-adherent in the manufacture of medical tablets, capsules and powders. The magnesium salt of stearic acid which functions as a lubricant, binder, emulsifier, and anticaking agent. It is also used as a lubricant or die release in tableting pressed candies and is used in sugarless gum and mints.
