Appearance
Light yellow waxy flakes with an amine odor
Function
Lexamine- S-13 is an artificial wax derived from mixed vegetable fatty materials reacted with amines and amides. It is particularly suited as a secondary emulsifier in skin care products, or as a primary emulsifier in hair conditioning creams. For use in skin care products, it should be incorporated in the oil phase. Additional acid can be added after the emulsion has been formed without affecting the stability of the system. For hair products, it provides critical functionality and co-emulsification with a waxy structure that helps build formulation viscosity.
