It is used as a light astringent or cleaning agents for latex products and compound calamine. It is widely used in rubber and painting products. Under oil drillings, Zinc Carbonate could react with HS and get stable ZnS. Because Zinc Carbonate would not change properties of mud, it be widely used in HS oil drillings works as desulfurization agents and corrosion inhibitor
