Our team

In 1964 Herbert Ravitz created UNIVERSAL PRESERVACHEM INC. as a provider of chemical ingredients for the food and cosmetic industries.  Mr. Ravitz designed a business model with a foundation based on its people, process and product. His business principles were defined by ethical, honest, hardworking  and competitive business practices. Those same principles were passed down to sons Michael and Daniel, who have built upon the original business plan.  Today, UPI is serving another generation of customers with care, quality and service.

Over the last 50 years UPI has transformed into one of North Americas premier providers of natural ingredients and chemicals employed within a multitude of industries.  This transformation would not of been possible without the commitment and dedication of our entire UPI family.
